Mistake? Tsunami Warnings Sounded on New Jersey Shore

According to published social media reports, TSUNAMI WARNING Sirens sounded in New Jersey last night, but there was no Tsunami!  Video below.

This video was taken in Manasquan New Jersey:

In the video, viewers can hear the loudspeakers announcing "This is a Tsunami Warning. Move to higher ground immediately."

The thing is, there were no earthquakes of any serious magnitude either in New Jersey itself, or out in the Atlantic Ocean, which would have prompted such a warning.  Earthquakes are the most common cause of Tsunamis.

Moreover, there was no massive weather systems in the ocean which can, from time time, generate a tsunami.

So . . .  why the warnings?

PUNCH LINE: The mass-media, hasn't said a word about this whole thing.  People in New Jersey have just been left wondering.  No information.  No explanation.  Nothing . . . .
